Experience the stylish formal gardens just next to the House. These gardens are shaped by the architect’s pencil and the gardener’s hands. The gardens are an extension of the House with green rooms, adorned with furniture, statues, urns and exotic trees.
The 2016 land art and garden installations created for Gothenburg Green World will also appear in 2017, by popular demand.
The formal gardens are architectural and interact intimately with the buildings. The gardens are designed to enhance the experience of the House. They are richly decorated with architectural elements from architect Carlbergs preserved drawings. The formal gardens have been restored to their former glory in several stages from 1949 until today.
To visit the gardens is free of charge, but you may contribute with a voluntary fee. The gardens are available from sunrise to sunset.
